Syrian Arab Army targeted the positions of Fatah al-Sham Front (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in three different regions in Northern Homs, inflicting heavy losses on the militants.
The army men pounded positions and movements of Fatah al-Sham near the villages of Tal Abu al-Sanasil, Eastern side of al-Ameriyeh and in the Eastern direction of al-Mashrafa, killing or wounding a number of them and destroying their vehicles.
Also, the army soldiers carried out a rapid counterattack on IS defense lines in a village the government forces lost to the terrorists on Friday, recapturing the village.
The army men inflicted heavy casualties on IS and drove them out of the village of Khatab in Eastern Homs only a few hours after the militants captured it.
ISIL suffered a heavy death toll in the battlefield.
