The Syrian government forces continued their anti-ISIS operation in Eastern Homs and managed to take back several positions, roads and heights, reducing their distance from Palmyra city.
The army men struck terrorists’ defense lines and won back al Seyaqah School in al Bayarat region West of Palmyra after hours of intense battle with the terrorists. The army soldiers meantime stormed ISIS’s positions Northwest of Palmyra and seized full control over al Maqale al Rakhamiyeh region (marble stone mines). The army troops also drove ISIS out of 900 Hill that is the highest in Hayal Mountains overlooking the Triangle of Palmyra.
Meanwhile, the Russian warplanes play an important role in dislodging ISIS terrorists from their frontline positions and also provide the SAA with much needed fire support.
